Many years ago, I DJ’d for Radio Glan Clwyd, the equipment was OK, but needed a lot of maintenance and support to keep it running. No surprise then that 10 or more years down the line, it needs replacing.
The station contacted Abergele Rotary and we contacted other Rotary Groups in the area and asked them to help us help this Hospital Radio Station to replace that kit.
This equipment isn’t cheap and they need to raise £5,000 to get the basics sorted. The station is celebrating 50 years of broadcasting this year, that is some milestone and we want to make sure they are able to broadcast for the next 50 years.
So, we are running an ongoing Raffle Online Raffle to raise funds in the lead up to a fun event at Yr Hen Ysgol where the public will be able to come along and join in some games to support and raise funds for the equipment the station needs to keep broadcasting into the future.
Current Radio Glan Clwyd equipment needs replacing, the old mixer desk alone is creaking at the sliders.
