Changeover 2024
The Club Changeover is an event involving a mixture of fun, formality and importance. During this event, the roles of office transfer between club members and new duties and responsibilities are passed on from the Outgoing to the Incoming Club Officers.
The list of roles and the individual taking on the role for this year are as follows:

Club Officers 2024
We are a small but growing club and as such most members take on a role or support someone in a role. This is great for members as they learn a lot more about how Rotary functions and the importance of these roles not just to the club, but to the local community.
Mark Jones handed on the role of President to Mark Davies, with Steve Richards taking on President-Elect whilst continueing as Secretary. The Medals of Office were handed out to Mark by Cllr Diane Green and to Steve by Cllr Tracey Brennan.

The event was held on Tuesday 25th June 2024 at the house of Assistant Secretary David Gozzard and a superb BBQ & Buffet was served to all attendees.
The coming year 2024/25
President Mark Davies is keen to ensure that the public understand the work that Rotary does in the Community of Abergele. From regular monthly donations to the Pensarn and Abergele Food Bank, to the many collections that we undertake and support for other charities.
From providing resources to Shelter Box who provide shelter and emergency supplies including tents, pots and pans, heat and light sources in the worlds disaster zones to supporting Helping Hands Ukraine who support Social Services in Ukraine to ensure that those struggling to get by day by day facing the trauma and shortages that are rife in the war zone area whilst also ensuring that the children of Chernobyl are cared for and not forgotten.
Abergele Rotary is small but mighty and we are looking for people who can spend 2 hours out of the 730 hours in a month to put something back into the community.
