Meet Peter Hughes
I am a retired Magistrate having been in Rotary 35 years.
I started my working career repairing Trucks and Buses and held licences to drive Class 1 Heavy goods and all buses including Double Decker.
I then spent over 30 years in the Licenced trade as a Publican. This is how I joined Rotary as I attended the Rotary Club of Irlam to give a talk on the life of a publican. At the end of the talk I was asked to sign a form which I later found out was a membership application form.
I have made many friends all over the Rotary family and hope to have helped more people in all walks of life.
I retired from my last pub in Christleton near Chester. I also had a training company which I trained licensees for several Breweries. I RETIRED… and started a new company training special needs, awareness, transporting, securing wheelchairs in vehicles, First Aid training including the use of De-Fibrilators. Travelling all over the UK and Ireland.. I closed the Company down during covid. Along side this I was a Magistrate sitting in both Crown and Magistrates courts throughout North Wales.
