Paul the Rotary Abergele Bear has been away!

Paul the Rotary bear has been on his travels to visit Norway. So, here is his report on his recent travels.

It was an easy start from Abergele at around 10am. The traffic was relativity good to my driver and we stopped for the night at the beautiful village of Fordingbridge near the New Forest for the night, I searched the woods but no bears, just Donkeys and Horses.

The next day we travelled to Southampton to get on board a very big ship.P&O Britania
On this trip there were over 3,500 guests and 1,500 crew.

Me and one of my Humans who fed me some Honey, it didn’t taste right and gave me a headache.

We had a sailing day, this is when you leave the port and won’t reach the next stop until the next day, so they tell me anyway, I don’t remember what happened, I know we left Southampton, my humans got me a drink and I woke up in Norway!

So, Our first day was a bit of a blur, my humans went ashore with me looking out the back of a Wheelchair, I didn’t mind because this kept me warm, it was sunny but the breeze wasn’t very warm at all.

Then my human went down a ramp and nearly squashed me when he crashed and ended up on his head with the wheelchair on top of him. I had a very strange view of the situation and for a minute I thought I was in Australia, but no Kangaroos’ so yep, still in Norway.

When my Human got back to the ship later he went to see a Doctor and a Nurse, talk about needy!

A place called Nordfjord was next on the list, but the wind was a bit strong and so we ended up sailing up and down the Fjord all day.

Me again, waiting for breakfast at Flam

This is Flam, very pretty, but I wasn’t allowed on board the Rib for a trip around the Fjord so I stayed aboard.
