A fascinating presentation from Nicola Jones on behalf of Conwy Mind provided an insight into the incredibly valuable work this independent charity are performing for the increasing number of people in Conwy in need of mental health support.
Conwy Mind based in Abergele, (not part of Mind UK), is a small charity who perform work throughout Conwy with referrals coming directly from medical practitioners.
Their volunteer staff take telephone calls and arrange a number of ways for individuals to communicate with trained professionals who have successfully supported residents where 1 in 4 have mental health issues.
