In Care Event 2025 – How did we do?

First of all, some background

The In Care event is usually held at the Canolfan Dewi Sant Centre in Pensarn, but that location is closed for refurbishment. As a result, our new base of operations Yr Hen Ysgol looked to be the best option. A few days before the event, we were expecting about 80 people, which happens to be the number of people we expected to cater for in the room we had booked. But, some late extra’s came in and were accepted taking us to about 109 seats!

Facing several challenges as a result of the increased numbers the In Care event also found that on the day there were double the number of wheel chair users to the previous year, but we managed. Because we had to seat extra people, we had been forced to move the band, C-Bugs, who were absolutely outstanding. John Hand and his crew were incredible. Their position in the room was not ideal, but they were true professionals – the show must go on.

Thanks

Inside the card

Now, I have to tell you, we are pretty pleased with the results.

Once again the food was just superb, many thanks to The Gwesty for all the hard work and dedication.

Thank you to all our members for the work leading up to and during the event, this one takes months to plan.

A big thank you Christine and to our extra volunteers, Linda, Sue and Julie who threw themselves into the work.

Just a heads up for next year, we will be changing the booking system, so watch out for how to accept your invitations next year.

You can get a better feel for what happened on the day in the video below, which includes pictures at the end – are you on the wanted list??
