What a glorious event the Coffee Morning was!
It’s true that attendance was down, but those that did attend really had a lot of fun and enjoyed amazing refreshments along side the cakes they purchased from Marie Currie (see photo to the right). Those cakes sold well adding £98 to this amazing service that helps so many people in our community.
New comers to our event “The Hygiene Bank” raised £30 towards their valued services. If you are not already aware, they provide hygiene products including sanitary products to those in need.
Of course Abergele Rotary itself ran the traditional Raffle as well as the Tombola stall. These are always popular and this time we had some superb Raffle Prizes including a Pressure Cooker and a Pie Maker! These accompanied the usual but always popular prizes of Chocolates, Perfumes, Aftershave and even a massive Paint by Numbers.
As a result, Abergele Rotary raised £151.85 that will be used to support local causes like the Food Bank, a charity that we donate to on a monthly basis. There are more people than ever in need of support in the local area and we are proud to do what we can to help.
There will, of course, there will be another Coffee Morning in November, but please keep your eyes open for other events that we are holding/hosting/assisting with.
